I Boo-tiful Mom!

Haven is really into her dress-up clothes and makeup right now. Almost every night I have to step over her dress up truck with dresses, shoes, makeup and accessories scattered everywhere. After she is all dressed up she will come to me and say "I boo-tiful mom?!?!"

I think it is just aborable, if only I could get her to understand that the make up goes on her face, not legs!

A Vaca Without Mom.

This weekend Haven went with GrandDan and GrandPat to Mountainview for the Blacksmith Competition. This was Haven's first vacation without me and the longest time we have spent apart. I knew Haven would be fine, I just wasn't sure how I would hold up.

Dressed and ready to go!

Can't forget the pillow!

Loading up and heading out...

I handled it a lot better than I thought I would. I only teared up when they left.

GrandDan said they had a great time even though the competition he was to enter in was canceled this year. Hopefully I will be able to go with them next year and join in on the fun!!

The Punkie Match!

Saturday morning Grams, Papa and I took Haven and Nattie to the McGarrah Farms Pumpkin Patch in Pea Ridge, or punkie match according to Haven. Once we arrived we had the choice of buying a pre-picked pumpkin or picking our own within their huge pumpkin patch. We decided to pick our own pumpkins! We were given a wagon and clippers and wished a "Happy Pickin!" On our way to the patch we passed a display of pumpkins, perfect for some pictures.

After some pictures we were off to the patch. With over 5 acres of pumpkins to choose from I was sure we would find the perfect pumpkin. We walked through out the different sizes (small up to fairytale) and colors of pumpkins before Haven and Nattie found their pumpkin.

Papa pulling the girls and their pumpkins.

Stopping for a family picture!

We finished our pumpkin patch experience with a hay ride. The girls had a great time as did the adults. I am sure this will be a new yearly event since a pumpkin is a must for Aunt Maggie's Pumpkin Carving party!

If you are interested in visiting the farm you can more information and directions from their website. www.mcgarrahfarms.com

Farmers Market

Saturday morning we visited the Bentonville square for the Farmers Market. This was the first farmers market I have attended this year, I have been missing out. The morning air was fresh and crisp, perfect for a jacket or sweater.

Haven looking at some veggies!

It was so peaceful to walk around looking at fresh veggies and homemade items.

Mt. Calcote

If any of you have very been to my parents new house, you as well as myself may be too scared to enter their driveway. It is a straight 90 degree drop from the road. I really feel for them once the snow hits and they are stuck at home for days!
While staying the night with Grams and Papa Friday night Haven and Nattie turned a negative into a positive. Sledding down Mt Calcote! They got one of Brian's old snow sleds and had Papa pull them down the hill.

Grams said they had some much fun. I can't wait until Mt. Calcote is covered in snow. Then the fun will really begin!
