Happy Early Birthday Haven!
Today we went to Shelby Lynn's Bakery to order Haven's birthday cake. This is the first year to have a cake instead of cupcakes! We wanted something special but different, so it took some time to decide on what we wanted. But we finally did after an hour and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
When we arrived home I pulled Haven's first birthday present, a Barbie Jamming Jeep, out into the driveway. I then asked Haven who was here, she started looking around. Then she saw the jeep and said "My car!"

Her favorite feature on the jeep is the working radio. She doesn't really trust the jeep moving, but I am sure she will with time.

Not sure why she gets in and out on the passenger side?!

I tried so hard but I just wouldn't fit. =)

A Lazy Day...
Today was a very lazy day for us. We woke up to bad weather and a day full of rain. So Haven and I laid around the house! It was nice to relax and work on our blog.

After learning how to add a divider to the blog (which wasn't as easy as explained) I looked outside and saw the sun. I decided it was time to take a break and take Haven swimming! What a nice lazy day!

Rain Rain....
It seems as if this summer has had more rain than sunshine. I am not one to complain as I love the rain and storms. Not only does the rain calm all of us it also brings wonderful gifts! Tonight after a storm we had a beautiful rainbow.

The longer we watched the rainbow the brighter the sky got! It was amazing.
This rainbow was truly a site to see.. Here are some pictures of Haven playing in the rain last week.

While Haven plays in the rain I sit in the rain and can watch her!

The Garden...
Today we decided to complete our list of errands that have been neglected for the past week. But first we had to eat at the Garden (Lynn's Garden), one of Haven's favorite places to eat.

Not only does Haven love the food, she loves the fortune cookie and fish tank. Haven's fortune told her that 3 months from this date something special is going to happen. I wonder what it could be?!!

And last but not least, Haven loves to play in the foutain in the front of the building.

A Day For Haven...
Today I got off work early and I decided to have a day for Haven. My first plan was to take Haven canoeing but the weather did not want to cooperate. On to plan B, a movie. The only cartoon movies playing were "Monsters vs. Aliens and "Up". Haven picked "Up", which made mommy happy! Since the movie was 3-D we got glasses to wear and it was exciting because it was the first 3-D for each of us. I wish I would have had my camera because it was the cutest thing to see Haven on the edge of her seat with the big 3-D glasses on watching the movie eating popcorn. After the movie I took Haven to the candy store to get her favorites, then off for a little clothes shopping. Afterwards I took Haven home so she could go swimming. Her new favorite thing, lucky for her I am now staying home so we can go everyday!!!

I posted a few of our favorite scenes from the movie...enjoy!

Our Newest Family Members.....
We are pleased to announce the long awaited arrival of Magnus and Keena!

Magnus and Keena were my best friend Jessica's pups. Jess had to move and was unable to take the pups with her. Due to the fact that Haven and Baby Lilly have been around them since birth and our very own love for them, we couldn't dare see them go to another home other than ours. Both Magnus and Keena are the must loving, lazy, adorable dogs you could ever ask for! And best of all, Haven loves them.

Welcome to your new home!

More Poses Before Gymnastics...
It seems that anytime Haven puts on a leotard for gymnastics she asks me to take pictures of her. Here are more pics of Haven before going to gymnastics!
I am not sure about this pose, but Haven seemed to be all about it.

This must be her mean thug pose.

However, after gymnastics is a different story!

Out Smarted By My 3 Year Old...
Determined to have Haven potted trained by her third birthday I decided that I would try something different tonight. Since Haven hates to be dirty I thought if I put her in big girl panties and she didn't use the potty it would bother her. Smiling as I thought I was so cleaver Haven came to me with muffins. Since dinner was on the stover I told her she could have them if she ate all her dinner. While talking to Haven about the muffins I said...
"Haven, do you need to go potty?"
"Umm, no mommy."
"Ok, go put the muffins up until after dinner"
"Ok mommy. I go potty!"
Excited because I thought my idea was working I replied....
"Ok honey. Mommy is so proud of you!"
After a few minutes I called for Haven so I could reward her for using the potty, but when she walked up to me I noticed she had wet her panties.
"Oh Haven, what happened honey? Show me where you went potty so mommy can clean it up"
I followed Haven into my bathroom where her potty is. Thinking to myself that she must have sat on the potty but forgot to pull down her panties, I saw this in instead...

Haven may have needed to go potty but she really went to eat the muffins. Where she found the scissors I have no idea.
