61 Days To Go!!!

Today I am at 31 weeks and 2 days. Dr Lueders said everything looks fine and Little G is right on track! At 36 weeks we will schedule the date for the arrival of my little night owl!
I can't wait.

Letting Go....

Everyone has that "one" item they have had since birth or childhood that they are still attached too. Rather they want to admit it or not. Mine is a pillow named Squishy and I am still very attached to him. To this day I still sleep with him and take him on trips with me. I have even left Squishy behind and had him mailed to me so I would not be without. So needless to say my attachment to this pillow is beyond normal.
Ever since Haven was born my mom has told me that Haven would adopt Squishy. "Never" I would say. I was never going to give up Squishy and Haven would have to find her own item to become attached too. Well for the 3 1/2 years of Haven's life my plan was a success, until this week. I am pretty sure Haven knew about my attachment to Squishy and planned her attack. It all started with her using him to lay on while watching her shows. That I was ok with because I was usually doing something else at the time. Then I noticed Haven would have Squishy in the mornings when we woke up. I was puzzled but never thought twice about it. Finally Haven went in for the kill. She crawled in bed before me the other night and passed out of Squishy. I didn't have the heart to move her so I let it be.


She has slept with him every night since. I guess it is time to let go and pass Squishy down to the next person who will love him as I did, Haven!

Super Student!!

Today Haven received a "Super Student" award for her super listening skills at school!


I am so proud of her (and at the same time wondering what happens to those skills when we get home)!! Great job Haven, mommy loves you!

Brunch with the Fam!!

The whole family got together for brunch to spend time with Uncle John while he was in town. We like to take advantage of these moments as John lives in Dallas.

I Boo-tiful Mom!

Haven is really into her dress-up clothes and makeup right now. Almost every night I have to step over her dress up truck with dresses, shoes, makeup and accessories scattered everywhere. After she is all dressed up she will come to me and say "I boo-tiful mom?!?!"



I think it is just aborable, if only I could get her to understand that the make up goes on her face, not legs!

A Vaca Without Mom.

This weekend Haven went with GrandDan and GrandPat to Mountainview for the Blacksmith Competition. This was Haven's first vacation without me and the longest time we have spent apart. I knew Haven would be fine, I just wasn't sure how I would hold up.

GrandDan said they had a great time even though the competition he was to enter in was canceled this year. Hopefully I will be able to go with them next year and join in on the fun!!
